Garlic Butter Steak Bites & Cheesy Smashed Potatoes

🛒 Ingredients
For the Steak Bites:
1 ½ lbs sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
Salt & pepper, to taste
2 tbsp olive oil
5 cloves garlic, minced
4 tbsp unsalted butter
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
For the Cheesy Smashed Potatoes:
1 ½ lbs baby potatoes
¼ cup olive oil
Salt & pepper, to taste
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
Fresh chives, chopped (for garnish)
👩🍳 Instructions
Step 1: Prep the Potatoes 🥔
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
Boil potatoes in salted water until tender (≈15 mins).
Drain & transfer to a baking sheet.
Smash gently with the bottom of a glass or potato masher.
Drizzle with olive oil, season with salt & pepper.
Bake for 20–25 mins until golden & crispy.
Step 2: Add the Cheese 🧀
Sprinkle shredded cheddar over baked potatoes.
Return to oven for 5 mins, until melted & bubbly.
Step 3: Garlic Butter for Potatoes 🧄
Melt butter in a small pan, add garlic, and sauté 1 min.
Drizzle over cheesy potatoes.
Garnish with chopped chives. Keep warm.
Step 4: Cook the Steak Bites 🥩
Season steak bites with salt & pepper.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook steak bites in a single layer, 2–3 mins per side, until desired doneness.
Add butter & minced garlic, stirring until butter melts and coats the steak.
Garnish with parsley.
